About Simexa
What does Simexa do?
Simexa connects homes and businesses with solutions from leading national providers, regional networks and specialized technology companies, all through one independent partner. You tell us what you need and where, we show you the options available at that address and explain them, you pick the one you want, and we help with the order and coordinate setup with the provider.
Is Simexa an internet service provider, carrier or utility?
No. Simexa is an independent sales organization that works with providers through authorized sales relationships. We do not own networks, operate wireless service, monitor alarms or generate or deliver electricity. The service is delivered and billed by the provider you choose.
Is Simexa independent?
Yes. Simexa is independently owned and is not a subsidiary, division or employee of any telecommunications, wireless, security or energy provider. We work across multiple provider networks, so you can explore options without being tied to a single carrier.
Does Simexa work with multiple providers?
Yes. For homes, that includes national internet, wireless, TV and security providers and regional networks. For businesses, our supplier network is much broader: national carriers, dedicated fiber providers, wireless and IoT carriers, and specialized networking and technology suppliers. Which of them serve you depends on your address and what you need.
Does Simexa operate nationwide?
Yes. Simexa is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and serves homes and businesses throughout the United States, subject to service availability, provider authorization and program rules. Energy choice exists only in eligible markets.
Can I speak with someone in Spanish?
Yes. Our team helps customers in English and Spanish, and many of our specialists are bilingual. Ask for Spanish when you call, subject to a bilingual specialist being available, or use the site in Spanish with the language switch.
How quickly will someone respond?
You get an automatic confirmation by email or text within seconds of a successful submission, subject to your messaging permissions. Our team will contact you within 1 hour during business hours, which are 9 AM to 9 PM Central, every day. If you reach us outside those hours, the one-hour window begins when business hours resume at 9 AM Central.
Cost and how Simexa is paid
Does Simexa charge customers a fee?
No. Simexa does not charge you a fee and does not add its own markup to the provider's advertised or promotional pricing. You see the plans and promotions available through the provider's sales channel.
How does Simexa make money?
Providers compensate Simexa when a customer orders service through us. You are not charged for exploring options, for the order or for our help coordinating setup.
Will I pay more by ordering through Simexa?
No extra Simexa markup is added. You pay the provider's price for the plan you choose, under the provider's terms. Provider taxes, equipment, installation and other service charges may still apply, and prices and promotions are set by the provider and can change. We do not claim to beat every offer.
Who bills me for the service?
The provider you choose bills you directly, and payments, billing questions and account changes go through that provider.
How do promotions and introductory prices work?
Many plans start with a lower price for a set period, then move to a standard rate. We show you when a promotion ends and what the plan costs afterwards, so you compare the full cost rather than the first month.
Availability and choosing
Are all providers available at every address?
No. Networks are built street by street and sometimes building by building, wireless signal changes with distance and obstructions, and some services are sold only in certain markets. Two neighbors can have different choices. Our nationwide reach does not mean every service is available everywhere, which is why we work from your exact address.
How do you check what serves my address?
We review provider availability and coverage information and public data such as the FCC National Broadband Map, then confirm the options with the provider before an order is placed. Public maps help, but they are not a guarantee of service, indoor signal or speed.
Will I be pressured to choose a specific provider?
No. You choose. We show you what is available and give you our honest take when you ask for it. If nothing fits today, that is a fine outcome too.
Does Simexa guarantee pricing, availability or installation dates?
No, and nobody can. Pricing, plans, availability and installation schedules are set by the providers and can change. We give you the most current information we have, and the final terms come from the provider you sign with.
What should I compare besides the monthly price?
Look at the price after any promotion, fees, contract length and early termination costs, equipment and installation, and, for internet, upload speed and latency as well as download speed. We go through each of these with you for every option.
Technology basics
What is the difference between fiber, cable, fixed wireless and satellite internet?
Fiber carries data as light through glass and often offers matching upload and download speeds. Cable runs over a hybrid fiber and coaxial network and is widely available, with uploads usually slower than downloads. Fixed wireless and satellite use radio links and serve many places wired networks do not reach, with performance that depends on signal, distance and conditions.
What is the difference between download and upload speed?
Download speed is how fast data reaches you, for example when you stream a show. Upload speed is how fast you send data, for example on a video call or a cloud backup. If people in your home or office work remotely or share large files, upload speed matters as much as download.
What is latency?
Latency is how long a request takes to reach a server and come back, usually measured in milliseconds. Lower latency makes video calls, online games and page loads feel more responsive, even when two plans have the same speed. Wired connections usually have the lowest latency, and geostationary satellite the highest.
What is 5G home internet?
5G home internet delivers home service over a mobile carrier's network to a gateway placed inside the home, often without a technician visit. Its performance depends on the signal at your address and how busy the network is, so availability and speeds vary by location.
What is a broadband consumer label?
It is a standard summary that internet providers must display for each plan at the point of sale, including when you buy through a third-party retailer or by phone. It shows the monthly price, fees, introductory terms, typical speeds and latency, and data policies, so plans can be compared on the same terms.
Can I choose my electricity provider?
Only in some states. Where retail electricity choice exists, such as in much of Texas, households and businesses can pick a retail supplier and plan, while the local utility still delivers the power and responds to outages. Elsewhere, electricity comes from the local utility. We help with energy options only in eligible markets.
Switching, installation and after setup
Who handles service installation?
The provider, or its authorized contractor, performs installation, activation and service delivery. We help with the order and coordinate the scheduling with the provider. After-hours or specific installation times depend on the provider's availability.
What happens after I choose a provider?
We help with the provider's ordering process and coordinate the next steps, such as the installation appointment or a number transfer. Once service is active, your service relationship is with the provider, which handles support and account servicing under its own program.
Does Simexa install or monitor security systems?
No. Simexa is a sales and coordination partner for security solutions from providers such as Vivint and ADT. The selected provider, or its authorized contractor, installs the system and provides the monitoring. Features and monitoring plans depend on the provider, equipment and plan.
Can I keep my phone number when I switch?
In most cases, yes. Federal number portability rules let you keep your number when you change providers in the same area, and many simple transfers are completed within one business day, while more complex ones can take several. Keep your old account active until the transfer is complete.
Should I cancel my old service before the new one is installed?
Usually not. Plan a short overlap so you are not left without service, and keep the old account open until any number transfer is finished. Check the old contract for early termination fees and equipment you need to return.
Who cancels my old provider?
Cancelling your previous service is your responsibility unless we have agreed with you to coordinate it. Number transfers are the exception: porting a number to a new provider is handled through the new provider's order. We can help you plan the timing either way.
What if I am moving?
Tell us your new address as early as you can. We check what serves it, explain the options, and coordinate setup so service can be ready close to your move-in date, depending on provider scheduling. Your current provider handles stopping or transferring service at the old address.
Businesses
Can Simexa help a business with multiple locations?
Yes. We work with businesses from one location to many, and can source and coordinate internet, dedicated connectivity, voice, wireless, IoT, security, TV and energy across your sites as one organized rollout, with one point of contact.
What business services can Simexa source?
Business internet, dedicated internet access and enterprise fiber, point-to-point and multi-location connectivity, networking and business voice, business wireless, cellular IoT, business security, TV for business, commercial electricity in eligible markets and natural gas procurement in select markets. Which options reach each site depends on its address and the providers that serve it.
Can Simexa help with business internet backup?
Yes. We can evaluate backup connectivity alongside your primary service, such as a second wired connection, fixed wireless, or business 5G or LTE where available. Whether failover is automatic depends on the proposed service and equipment, and no provider can promise zero downtime.
Can businesses get volume wireless pricing?
Sometimes. We help businesses evaluate multi-line plans, carrier promotions and volume-based pricing. Larger accounts, often around 30 lines or more, may qualify for additional carrier pricing consideration, but the thresholds and eligibility are set by each carrier.
Can Simexa help with business energy services?
Yes, in eligible markets. We help commercial customers explore electricity supply options through participating providers in customer-choice markets, including Texas, and qualifying natural gas procurement in select markets, case by case. If your energy contract is approaching renewal, contact us to explore available options.
Can Simexa provide business procurement documents?
Yes. Qualifying business customers can request vendor onboarding documents, including an IRS Form W-9, a certificate of insurance and applicable master services agreement or other contract documentation, provided according to the transaction and the contracting party.
Who holds the contract for business services?
Your business contracts with the provider for each service, and the provider sets the term, pricing and service levels. The provider or its contracted vendor delivers and manages the service. We help you compare those terms across providers and locations before you sign.
