Simexa

Business wireless works when every line has signal where your people actually work, on terms your company controls. We help you explore postpaid business plans, devices and available multi-line pricing from carriers including AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile for Business, review coverage for your sites and routes, and coordinate the order and the number transfers with the carrier.

Providers we compare

We compare business wireless and mobility options across these providers. Which ones serve you depends on your address.

Brands we work with

Which of these serve you depends on your address. Provider names are trademarks of their owners. Simexa is independently owned and is not a subsidiary of any provider.

A team plan that looks right on paper can fail in the places that matter: a warehouse with metal walls, a job site at the edge of town, a delivery route through a rural county. Carrier coverage maps are a starting point, but they are estimates, and a business with several locations rarely gets the same signal at each one.

We start by mapping who works where and on which devices, and review the carriers' coverage information and public data such as the FCC National Broadband Map for each site. Then we lay out each option plainly: how data is shared across lines, device and financing terms, current carrier promotions, how numbers move over, and what the agreement says about adding and removing lines. Larger accounts, potentially around 30 lines or more, may qualify for additional carrier pricing consideration; the threshold and eligibility are the carrier's. You decide with the trade-offs in front of you, we place the order through the carrier's business program, and the carrier handles activation, service and account support.

How it works

A business wireless setup is more than a stack of phone lines. It is coverage at each location, an account structure that matches how your company buys and manages devices, and a plan for moving numbers without interrupting calls from customers.

  1. 01

Coverage at every site, including indoors

Carriers use low, mid and high radio bands. Lower bands travel farther and through walls better; mid-band carries more data over a useful distance; high band delivers high capacity but over short range. Concrete, metal and basements weaken signal, so a carrier that is strong on the street can be weak inside your building. We check each site and route, not one headquarters address.

  2. 02

    Business lines, not personal ones

On a business account, the company is typically the account holder, which usually means it controls the numbers, decides who can make changes, and keeps lines when someone leaves. Agreements differ by carrier, so confirm who owns the numbers and who is authorized on the account before you sign.

  3. 03

    Shared and pooled data

Some business plans give each line its own allowance; others let lines draw from a shared pool, so heavy users and light users balance out. The right structure depends on how evenly your team uses data. A field crew streaming site video and an office team on Wi-Fi all day need different things.

  4. 04

    Managing the devices

Once a business has more than a handful of phones, device management matters. Mobile device management software lets IT enroll devices, push settings and apps, require a passcode and wipe a lost phone remotely. Federal guidance from NIST covers both company-owned phones and employees' personal phones used for work. Device management is a separate product from the lines themselves, so plan for it with your IT team or provider.

  5. 05

    Moving many numbers at once

Wireless carriers must support number portability, so business numbers can usually come with you. A port with many numbers, or one that moves a desk or VoIP number to mobile, needs accurate account details for every line and can take longer than a single personal number. Planning the cutover avoids missed calls.

  6. 06

    Mobile broadband and fleet connectivity

Hotspots, tablets and in-vehicle routers put laptops, point-of-sale terminals and equipment online away from the office. Cellular fleet connectivity adds data lines for vehicles and the devices in them, where the carrier supports it. Tracking and fleet software are separate products. Speeds depend on signal along the route and how busy the network is.

Questions about this service

Can we keep our business phone numbers when we switch?

Usually, yes. Federal rules require wireless carriers to support number portability, so business numbers can typically move to the new carrier. Keep the old service active until every number has transferred, and we coordinate the transfer with the carrier.

How long does it take to move many numbers?

It depends on the number of lines, the carriers involved and how accurate the account details are. Larger ports can take longer than a single personal number, and when desk or VoIP numbers move to mobile, federal rules set up to four business days for non-simple requests. A scheduled cutover keeps customer calls flowing.

Can businesses get volume wireless pricing?

Sometimes. We help you compare multi-line plans and current carrier promotions, and larger accounts, potentially around 30 lines or more, may qualify for additional carrier pricing consideration. The threshold, the pricing and eligibility are set by the carrier, so we confirm them in writing before you commit.

What is the difference between a business line and a personal line?

On a business line, the company is typically the account holder and controls the number, who can make changes and what happens when an employee leaves. Business accounts can also offer pooled data and business support, depending on the carrier. Terms differ, so we confirm them before you sign.

Can you support teams in several states?

Yes. We review coverage for the places your team works and travels across the United States, using carrier coverage information and public data such as the FCC National Broadband Map. These show reported coverage, not indoor signal, so we look at each site and route rather than one address.

What is pooled data, and is it right for us?

Pooled data lets all lines on an account draw from one shared allowance instead of each line having its own. It suits teams where a few people use a lot of data and most use little. If everyone uses data heavily, per-line or unlimited plans may fit better.

Can employees use their own phones?

Yes, many businesses allow it, often called bring your own device. It lowers device costs but needs a clear policy on which apps the company manages and what stays private. Some businesses pay for a business line on the employee's phone using eSIM, where the phone and carrier support it.

Do you handle devices too?

Yes, through the carrier. Smartphones, tablets, hotspots and connected equipment, new, financed or brought along where the carrier allows, are part of the comparison, and devices are fulfilled through the carrier's ordering program. Simexa does not keep its own phone inventory. We check that existing phones are unlocked and compatible before you switch.

Does it cost anything to compare through Simexa?

No. Simexa adds no fee or markup of its own: your business sees the plans and promotions available through the carrier's sales channel, and carriers compensate us when you sign up. Carrier taxes, device costs and other carrier fees still apply. If you need vendor onboarding documents, we can assist with a W-9, a certificate of insurance and applicable contractual documentation.

Who do we contact after the lines are active?

The carrier you choose handles activation, service, billing and account support. When your team grows, you open a new location or you want to compare options again, contact us and our team will contact you within 1 hour during business hours.
