Simexa

Simexa helps households choose TV from DIRECTV satellite, YouTube TV through eligible programs and Verizon Fios TV in qualifying markets, with other provider TV where specifically authorized. We start with what your household watches, check which options serve your address, and explain the price, equipment and terms before you choose. There is no extra Simexa markup.

Availability depends on your address, the provider, network coverage and product eligibility.

Providers we compare

We compare tv and entertainment options across these providers. Which ones serve you depends on your address.

Brands we work with

Which of these serve you depends on your address. Provider names are trademarks of their owners. Simexa is independently owned and is not a subsidiary of any provider.

A family on the sofa watching TV in a softly lit living room at night

The right TV service depends less on the brand and more on three questions: which channels and sports you really watch, how reliable your internet is, and how many TVs need a signal. A household that follows one team and a few shows needs something very different from one that wants every sports network, local news and recording on every screen.

We lay the options that serve your address side by side: the channel lineup, whether your local stations and regional sports are included, the equipment and any per-TV fees, the contract length and the price once a promotion ends. You choose; we place the order and coordinate setup with the provider, who handles installation, activation and service support. Check availability online for an immediate confirmation, or call to talk to a specialist in English or Spanish. Our team contacts you within 1 hour during business hours.

How it works

Every TV service does the same job: it carries channels from the networks to your screen. What differs is the path the signal takes, and that path decides what equipment you need, whether you depend on your internet connection and what can interrupt the picture.

  1. 01

Satellite: a dish and a clear view of the sky

Satellite TV, such as DIRECTV, sends channels from satellites to a small dish on your home, then to a receiver or device at each TV. Because it needs no cable lines and no fast internet, it can reach homes almost anywhere with a clear view of the southern sky. Heavy rain or snow can briefly interrupt the signal, and trees or buildings in the way can block it.

  2. 02

Live TV streaming: channels over the internet

Live TV streaming services, such as YouTube TV, deliver a channel lineup through an app on a smart TV, streaming device, phone or computer. There is no dish and usually no installation visit, but the picture depends on your home internet: several people streaming at once in high definition need a steady connection with room to spare.

  3. 03

Provider TV over a wired network

Some internet providers also deliver TV over their own fiber or cable network, to a set-top box or a provider app. Verizon Fios TV is one example, offered in qualifying markets where Fios is built. There is no dish to aim and weather at your home does not affect it, but it is only an option where that provider's network reaches your street.

  4. 04

    Local channels

Most packages include local broadcast stations, but which stations are carried depends on the market and the package. If local news or network shows matter to you, check your stations by name at your address before you choose.

  5. 05

DVR: recording on a box or in the cloud

A DVR records shows so you can watch later. Satellite and wired provider TV often record to a hard drive in the receiver, so storage is fixed and recordings stay with that box. Streaming services usually record in the cloud, which lets you watch on any device but can come with storage limits and rules on how long recordings are kept.

  6. 06

    Sports: regional networks and blackouts

Many local team games air on regional sports networks that are only included in packages sold in that team's area. Leagues and broadcasters also set blackout rules, so a game can be unavailable on one service or in one area even when the channel is in your lineup. If sports matter, check your teams by name, not just the channel count.

Questions about this service

Which TV services can Simexa help me get?

DIRECTV satellite TV, YouTube TV through eligible programs, and Verizon Fios TV in qualifying markets, plus other provider TV where we are specifically authorized. Which of these you can get depends on your address, the market and the package. We check what serves your home before we compare anything.

Satellite, streaming or provider TV: which is right for my home?

It depends on your internet, your address and what you watch. Satellite works almost anywhere with a clear view of the sky and does not rely on your internet connection; streaming needs reliable internet but usually no installation; provider TV over fiber works only where that network reaches your street. We compare the options that actually serve your address.

Will my price go up after the first year?

Many TV offers include promotional pricing for a set period. For cable and satellite, providers must state the price after the promotion and how long each rate lasts in their advertising. We tell you what the price becomes, and when, before you choose.

Can I get my local channels?

Local channel availability depends on your address, the provider and the package. Many satellite, streaming and provider TV packages include local stations, but not every station is carried in every market. We check your stations by name before you sign.

How do I make sure I get my local sports team?

Ask for your team by name, at your address. Many local games air on regional sports networks that are only offered in certain areas and packages, and blackout rules can make a game unavailable even when the channel is in your lineup. We check this before you sign.

What internet do I need for live TV streaming?

You need a connection that stays steady while everyone in the home streams at once. Each high definition or 4K stream adds to the load, so a household with several TVs needs more room than a single viewer. If your internet is slow or unreliable, satellite may be the better fit, and we can compare home internet at the same time.

Can my landlord or HOA stop me from installing a satellite dish?

Federal rules generally prohibit restrictions that unreasonably prevent or delay installing a satellite dish one meter or less on property you own or rent and have exclusive use of, such as a balcony or patio. There are exceptions, for example for safety or historic preservation, and the rules do not cover shared areas like a common roof.

Does Simexa set up over-the-air antennas?

No. Simexa does not install or set up antennas. We help with satellite, live TV streaming and provider TV packages, and we coordinate the order and installation scheduling with the provider you choose.

Does Simexa add a fee to my TV package?

No. There is no extra Simexa markup: you see the pricing available through the provider's sales channel. Provider taxes, equipment fees, installation charges and other service costs may still apply, and we point them out before you choose.

Who installs my TV service and who do I call afterwards?

The provider or its authorized contractor installs and activates the service, and your billing and technical support are with the provider. We place the order and coordinate the installation scheduling with them. You can reach us in English or Spanish if you want to compare TV options again.
